Budget Budget Rent a Car Limited (Australia) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Cendant Corporation whose world headquarters are in New Jersey, USA. In Australia, Budget Rent a Car operates a network of over 260 locations, which includes outlets at all major cities and provincial locations. Budget Rent a Car services every major Australia airport with in-terminal rental facilities. Budget - Australia operates a modern, well maintained fleet of passenger cars, four wheel drives and mini vans, sourced from Australia’s and the world’s leading vehicle manufactures. Most of the Budget fleet is leased for a twelve-month period with new vehicles replacing vehicles at the end of their lease on a month by month basis. Budget in Australia is staffed by a young, enthusiastic group committed to a philosophy of providing car, truck and four wheel drive product with the highest possible levels of customer satisfaction.

Vehicle Hire Inclusions
All vehicles are air conditioned and have power steering. Radio cassette is standard in all vehicles.

24 hour roadside assistance is provided.

Pick Up and Drop Off
Airport fee of between 5% and 11% of total rental will apply to rentals being collected from an airport, payable direct to Budget. Fees vary between locations.

Drop off fees are PRE-PAID in advance at the time of reservation and INCLUDE GST and Stamp Duty.

4WD vehicles must be picked up from the Budget Depot. Please allow one hour for familiarisation of vehicle.


Kilomeres
Rate includes unlimited kilometres for conventional vehicles. 4WD rates include 200 kilometres per day. Excess kilometres are charged at $0.27 cents per kilometre travelled incl. GST.

All rentals are subject to a monthly kilometre cap of 10,000 kms per month with excess kilometres charged at $0.27 cents incl. GST per kilometre travelled. Any additional days over 30 days include 333 kilometres per day with any excess kilometres charged at $0.27 cents per kilometre incl. GST.

Insurance
Collision Damage/Theft Excess is $2750 incl. GST. This may be reduced to $275 incl. GST ($990 incl. GST for hirers 21-24yrs) with an additional payment of $22.00 incl. GST per day of hire, payable direct. Credit card security bond of $275 incl.GST to be finalised at the commencement of hire. Personal Accident Insurance is INCLUDED in the above.

Collision Damage / Theft Excess for 4WD is $5500 incl.GST. This may be reduced to $550 incl.GST with an additional payment of $25.30 incl. GST per day of hire, payable direct. Collision Damage / Theft Excess for mini bus is $2750 incl.GST. This may be reduced to $275 incl.GST with an additional payment of $22.00 incl. GST per day of hire, payable direct. Credit card security bond of $275 incl. GST to be finalised at the commencement of hire. Personal Accident Insurance is INCLUDED in the above.

Driver age limit is 25 to 70 years for 4WD and 21 years and over for mini bus.

Hirer is responsible for the underside, overhead and water damage.
Insurance is subject to the specific terms and conditions of the hire contract between the individual hirer and the hire company.


Driving Area
Sealed roads in Australia.

Only vehicle categories Nissan Pulsar or larger are permitted one way from the Eastern States to NT and /or WA. 4WD vehicles are allowed to travel on sealed roads in Australia and gazetted unsealed roads for 4WDs, restrictions apply.

For customer safety touring in remote areas must utilise a large 4WD, please check. No beach driving permitted. Due to changing road and weather conditions your Budget representative may, for your safety, restrict the use of certain vehicles in some areas.


General
Rate includes government stamp duty (approx.2.5%). Baby seats are available and must be pre booked. A small fee applies.

Drivers must hold a full Australian, overseas or international license (issued in English).

Government stamp duty (2.5%) and security bond to be finalised at time of hire.
